This course covers essential first aid skills. It is designed to give anyone the knowledge and confidence to deal with a first aid situation. It concentrates on core, first-on-scene skills which are integral to all first aid with particular application in the outdoors. The course is provided through practical training and hands on scenarios:

  • The course covers vital first aid essentials and the latest protocols for CPR and Accident Procedures.
  • Our courses are certified and regulated by ITC - an HSE approved and SQA and OfQual regulated body.
  • This one day course covers the first 8 hours of standard courses and as such it is suitable for appointed persons in the workplace.
  • Where appropriate to clients we use our experience of working in remote environments to look at the practicalities of applying these core skills in the outdoors or when operating in remote environments.

Course Content:
Accident Procedures Essential life saving systems for assessing and treating unconscious casualties.
Resuscitation and choking: Applying the latest protocols to deal with non-breathing casualties.
Bleeding: We will look at dealing with major bleeds.
Scenarios: Through out the day we will use scenarios to put the theory into practice.
